Can parvo be treated at home in Pakistan?
Realistically, no. Parvo kills through dehydration and secondary infection, and survival depends on IV fluids, anti-nausea medication, and monitoring — clinic-level care, often for 3–7 days. 'Home totkas' and oral rehydration alone lose puppies that fluids would have saved. Home care only works after a vet stabilizes the dog and prescribes a plan.
How do dogs catch parvo here?
The virus sheds in infected dogs' feces and survives in soil and on surfaces for months, resisting most household cleaners. Streets, parks, shoe soles, and shared spaces in Pakistani cities are realistic exposure routes — a puppy doesn't need to meet a sick dog to catch it.
What are the survival chances with treatment?
With prompt, proper hospitalization, most treated puppies survive — commonly quoted around 70–90%. Untreated, most die. The gap between those two numbers is speed: a puppy treated on day one does far better than one brought in collapsed on day three.
Can vaccinated dogs still get parvo?

How do I disinfect after a parvo case?
