Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and MatchVet (SMC Pvt Ltd) (“we”, “our”, “us”) governing your access to and use of the MatchVet mobile application, website, and related services (together, the “Platform”). Please read them carefully. If you do not agree with these Terms, do not use the Platform.

1. About MatchVet

MatchVet is a technology platform that connects animal owners with independent veterinarians for consultations and veterinary services. MatchVet is a marketplace — not a clinic — and does not itself provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

All veterinary services are provided independently by licensed veterinarians who are not employees of MatchVet. We do not control, direct, or guarantee the quality, safety, timing, or outcome of any service. Any agreement for veterinary services is entered into directly between the animal owner and the veterinarian.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, post requests, send offers, or otherwise transact on the Platform. The Platform is not intended for children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. By using MatchVet, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you are legally able to enter into these Terms.

3. Accounts and Registration

• You are responsible for providing accurate, current, and complete registration information.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
• Veterinarians must hold and maintain a valid veterinary license and must provide their license details truthfully. We may verify credentials and may suspend accounts that cannot be verified.
• Notify us promptly at contact@matchvet.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

4. How the Marketplace Works

Animal owners post what their pet needs, along with a budget and area. Verified veterinarians may respond with competing offers that include a price, a time, and a note. The owner may accept an offer to book a home visit, clinic appointment, or video consultation.

• Posting a request and receiving offers is free for animal owners.
• Prices are set by the individual veterinarian, not by MatchVet.
• Unless stated otherwise in the app, payment for services is made directly to the veterinarian, typically as cash on delivery. MatchVet is not a party to that payment.
• Accepting an offer forms an agreement directly between you and the veterinarian.

5. User Responsibilities and Acceptable Use

You agree that you will not:

• Use the Platform for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose;
• Provide false, misleading, or impersonating information;
• Post content that is abusive, defamatory, obscene, or infringes others’ rights;
• Attempt to bypass the Platform to avoid fees, verification, or safety measures;
• Harass, threaten, or mistreat other users or animals;
• Interfere with, disrupt, reverse-engineer, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform;
• Collect or scrape other users’ data without their consent.

Animal owners are responsible for providing accurate information about their animal and for the welfare of their animal. Veterinarians are responsible for delivering services lawfully, competently, and in line with professional standards.

6. No Medical Guarantee; Not an Emergency Service

MatchVet does not provide veterinary advice and does not guarantee any diagnosis, treatment, or outcome. Information available through the Platform is for general purposes only and is not a substitute for professional examination and judgment.

The Platform is not an emergency service. In a life-threatening emergency, contact a 24/7 animal hospital directly — do not wait for offers.

7. Cancellations and Disputes

Cancellations, rescheduling, and refunds for a booked service are handled between the animal owner and the veterinarian, subject to any cancellation terms shown in the app. We may, at our discretion, help facilitate the resolution of a dispute, but we are not obligated to do so and are not responsible for the acts or omissions of any user.

8. Content and Communications

You retain ownership of the content you submit (such as pet details, photos, and messages). By submitting content, you grant MatchVet a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and use that content solely to operate, provide, and improve the Platform. You are responsible for the content you submit and confirm you have the rights to share it.

9. Intellectual Property

The Platform, including its name, logo, software, design, and content created by MatchVet, is owned by MatchVet and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from it without our prior written permission.

10. Third-Party Services

The Platform may rely on or link to third-party services (such as cloud hosting, analytics, maps, or messaging). We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third parties. Your use of those services may be governed by their own terms.

11. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any veterinarian, offer, or service will meet your expectations.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MatchVet and its officers, employees, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Platform, from any service provided by a veterinarian, or from any interaction between users. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MatchVet from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Platform, your content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

14. Suspension, Termination, and Account Deletion

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform if you breach these Terms or if we reasonably believe your use poses a risk to other users, animals, or MatchVet. You may stop using the Platform at any time and may request deletion of your account and data at any time — see our account deletion page.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updates will be posted within the app or on our website, and the effective date above will be revised. Your continued use of the Platform after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute relating to these Terms or the Platform is subject to the courts of Pakistan.
